“What I am always attempting to portray in my paintings is evidence of human interaction, with each other and with the landscape. I want the viewer to connect to the people and the places, sensing motion and a story.”
I am the founder and facilitator of HEart HEALS therapeutic art workshops, which helps people to abstractly paint their own story. As an artist, I have always been drawn to painting stories of people I see around me. I am now honored to help others visually capture their stories.
After graduating from UCLA with a Bachelor of Arts degree in Fine Art, I spent several years pursuing a career in graphic design. I began painting in oil in 1999, studying under master painter Roger Armstrong, and continuing to participate in workshops to learn and grow as an artist.
Among my accomplishments I was the featured artist of the Corona del Mar Home Tour for 3 years and have appeared in Art Business News as an Emerging Artist. I currently live and work from my home studio in Newport Beach.
